This program compliments the course “Legal and Regulatory Frameworks for Energy and Infrastructure Project Finance”. Where in fact the former focuses on the legal and risk platform for project financings, this course is devoted to the quantitative and financial aspects of project financing. The course focuses on the use of project finance to the power generation industry with a particular focus on examples from gas-fired, wind and solar technologies.

Introduction to advanced options for data driven decision making in business. This course covers methods designed to provide evidence for two types of fundamental business issues: (i) forecasting and (ii) evaluating alternate possible strategies. The course seeks to teach business leaders to comprehend the value of data-based decision making, assess analytics tools and products, and conduct richer evaluation of randomized and taking place tests. Topics include designing randomized controlled trials in the field, evaluating natural experiments, and machine learning tools for forecasting. The goal of the course is not to train you as a Data Scientist but to be able to read and assess empirical/analytic approaches and products. Advanced study in the field of economic policy and analysis.
